Tammikuun Valo - Sebastian Lindberg, Arttu Sailo, Taira Tiger and Rose-Mari Torpo
Paintings
5.3 - 29.3.2015
Galleria Rantakasarmi
Welcome to the opening on the 4th of March from 5 - 7pm
The exhibition Tammikuun Valo offers four different approaches on experiencing colour, surface and material. Sebastian Lindberg and Arttu Sailo are figurative painters while Taira Tiger’s and Rose-Mari Torpo’s works belong to the abstract painting tradition.
The works elaborate concepts such as harmony, contrast, movement and lack of motion. The groups common denominator is a colour based way of working. The themes in the exhibition are observing the mind and the external world as well as the physical approach to painting. The materiality and the immateriality create contrast between the works and the artists. The viewer participates in the creation of the art work’s concept with his observance and presence.
Galleria Rantakasarmi
Suomenlinna C1, 00190 Helsinki
